Fabulous find on Boing Boing this morning: Adventures of Superman Auctioned for EFF.

Page 20 of Adventures of Superman #648 featured three hooligans wearing sweatshirts emblazoned with the logos of three popular tech podcasts. And, being that we’re all nerds and there’s no getting around it, the podcasters got together and signed eight copies, auctioning them off on Ebay for the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Word on the street is that artist Karl Kerschl is a huge Apple junkie. You’ll see, in his run of Adventures (640-648), that everyone uses a Mac (Jimmy Olsen even uses it for photo editing!) and everyone has an ipod.

Kerschl himself runs a podcast from his website, Horhaus, called Horcast: Comic Books and the Creative Process. It’s really fantastic – Kerschl is passionate about comics and only talks to people who are the same, recent guests including Kyle Baker and Frank Quitely. I’ve attended art seminars Quitely has given, and he’s fantastic to listen to (even if you don’t get a hard on for a thick Scottish brogue).

Also fab to note: in the picture on ebay, one of the podcasts is acting out a scene from the book, making off with a television like the hooligan he is.
